In the news
We believe that we can use AI to help improve societies, industries and individuals and help mitigate the upheaval that AI will inevitably cause
We focus on projects where we deploy AI to assist with improving information integrity, law, the future of work, education and access to data. We do this in marginalised communities that are being left behind by technology around the world.
We have a number of AI projects:
1) Recapture, a project that fights the radicalisation of young people by combining cutting edge AI with personal interventions. It is an early-warning and de-radicalisation system that helps communities see harmful online influence on young people before it turns into real-world damage. Using AI, it detects disinformation, extremist narratives, grooming, and manipulation in a child’s media diet, but crucially keeps humans in the loop. Recapture equips parents, teachers, and community leaders with clear, personalised guidance so trusted adults instead of algorithms can intervene early and steer young people back to reality.
2) Justice AI. Paralegals provide free legal advice in marginalised areas in the Global South with little assistance. They are doing three jobs at once under extreme conditions: intake, case management, and systemic advocacy, with no technology tools. Justice AI exists to absorb the administrative and analytical burden, so humans can focus on judgment, trust, and action.
3) The Future of Work. This project allows people to use digital skills and tools in order to flip the AI revolution to their advantage and instead of feeling squeezed and retrenched by technology, they can use it to become entrepreneurs and put their ideas into action.
4) Day Zero Ready is about making organisations AI-ready by turning their data, archives, and operations into structured, machine-readable assets. It helps newsrooms and businesses broker data deals with Big Tech on their own terms. And this means licensing intelligence instead of giving it away through platforms. And it enables a break from Big Tech dependency by rebuilding operations on open-source, sovereign AI infrastructure before the traffic, revenue, and control disappear.
5) Hold Account AI. A tracker that looks at AI lawsuits, regulation and policies and holds people to account.
